The bulker Baskop hit the general cargo ship, Cileen M., that was moored in Marghera, Venice, during a maneuver to enter the port.
According to local media, Baskop, assisted by the tug Vanna C., made a mistake in its maneuver, and hit the moored ship.
As a result of the collision, only material damage was found, while no injuries, nor pollution have been recorded.
After the incident, the Operations Room of the Port Authority of Venice sent its own means and reinforcement personnel to the site to carry out the first checks and start investigations to find out the cause of the incident.
