Alice has worked in shipping for over 35 years. She is an English lawyer and has worked in specialised maritime law firms in England and Hong Kong. Alice has worked with the Norwegian Gard P&I Club for more than 30 years, always based at Gard’s head office in Arendal, Norway. She began as a Defence lawyer, becoming a team leader in 1996, and Vice President in 1999. She spent many years as Gard’s global Head of Defence Claims. In 2016, she moved to P&I, becoming Gard’s global head of People Claims, where she faced the biggest challenges of her career during the pandemic crew crisis. In preparation for her retirement this year, Alice stepped down from her role at the end of 2021, and she is currently working as a consultant for Gard.
