…WOC explained.
The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) was formed to increase the role of the private sector in advancing the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), launched in 2015, seek to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all, addressing global challenges such as poverty, climate change, injustice and many more.
In this context, the WBA is developing transformative benchmarks and indicators to measure company performance in relation to the SDGs.
WBA Allies represent a large mix of parties relevant to the encompassing scope and scale of the SDGs, including business networks, financial institutions, multi-lateral organizations and civil society groups.
