A fire had broken out on June 4 on board board Hoegh Xiamen, which is still burning but is now under control, according the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department.
The fire had caused an explosion which injured eight fire fighters. All 21 crew members are safe.
Fire fighters have spend several days tackling the fire.
Höegh Xiamen is operating on a service connecting East Asia with North America and the Caribbean via the Panama Canal.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
