UK/MCA issues MGN 434 regarding Vessel Traffic Servicds (VTS) – Training and Certification of VTS Personnel.
The purpose of this guidance note is to identify the standards of Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) training and certification recognised by the United Kingdom Competent Authority that are also closely aligned with IALA standards and the UK National Occupational Standards.
It also provides information on the procedures for the training and certification of VTS personnel in the UK.
