Covering issues under consideration at IMO of US interest
The US Coast Guard posted the IMO e-Newsletter which summarizes recent activities of the IMO of interest to the United States. It Includes the results of the review and reform of the Subcommittee structure and reports on recent sessions of Committees and Subcommittees.
A brief summary of the reorganization can be found in the USCG newsletter with thenames of the new sub-committees andthose they are replacing. US actively participated in the 65th session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee, the 100th session of the Legal Committee, the 92nd Session of the Maritime Safety Committee, the 38th session ofthe Facilitation Committee, and several sub-committee meetings. Further details on these meetings are discussed in this issue.
