Countries with confirmed cases of EVD as of 21 Oct 2015
The World Health Organization has issued updated information on the countries with confirmed cases of EVD.

As of 21 October 2015, the list below compiles the following countries on the affected areas list of the HK Centre for Health Protection (19.10.2015), US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (18.10.2015), the UN WHO (21.10.2015) and International SOS (21.10.2015).

- Sierra Leone
The latest situation summary from the WHO states that the total number of cases stands at 28,512, including 11,313 deaths (21.10.2015).
Three new confirmed cases of Ebola were reported in the week to 18 October 2015, all of which were reported in Guinea. The country had reported zero cases for the previous 2 weeks. There are currently 246 contacts under follow-up in Guinea (70 of whom are high risk), and an additional 253 contacts identified during the past 42 days remain untraced. Therefore, there remains a near-term risk of further cases among both registered and untraced contacts.
Sierra Leone has gone five weeks without any cases and continues its 42 day countdown to being declared ‘Ebola-free’ on7 November 2015.
