An Emirati-flagged cargo ship sank off Iran in the Persian Gulf due to bad weather, with rescuers attempting to account for all of the 30 crew members.
Al Salmy 6 encountered rough and stormy weather and because of that, it capsized, says Capt. Nizar Qaddoura, the operations manager of the Salem Al Makrani Cargo company.

Up until now, the rescuers saved 16 crew members, according to the captain. Another 11 crew members tried to made it onto a life raft. A nearby tanker saved one person while two crew members were still in the water, says the captain.
