Denmark’s most modern container port will be completed by the end of 2021 and it will be a sustainable and automated container terminal in Copenhagen. The area in Outer Northern Harbour is fairly anonymous, however, the current works remind that this is where the container terminal will be in three years from now.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a loan of EUR 195 million to support the upgrade of the Italian Ports of Rome and Lazio as per the Port Authority’s multi-year investment plan. The approved loan will cover the financing of the extension of the Port of Civitavecchia, about 60 km north-west of Rome, and the construction of a new seaport for freights and passengers in Fiumicino, 20 km west of the capital.

The waterside construction at Port Canaveral’s new Cruise Terminal 3 has started and a new 1,309-foot-long berth will soon take shape with the arrival of the first steel for the bulkhead wall. The project will cost $150 millions, while the marine works will be completed by end of November 2019.

NSW Ports will invest in ‘on-dock’ rail infrastructure capacity at each of the three container terminals at Port Botany, starting in 2019. The Investment will be in stages, while stevedores will need to invest in rail operating equipment to meet target terminal capacities.
