Port of Cork doubles size of customs facilities ahead of Brexit

The Port of Cork announced that it has doubled the size of its customs facilities, in preparation for the likelihood that the UK will depart the European Union (EU) with a no-deal Brexit, on October 31st, 2019. The Port concluded that if the UK leaves the EU single market and customs union without an agreement it is possible that more intensive checks and declarations will be needed.

Port of Hamilton’s capacity to increase

Filomena Tassi, the Canadian Minister of Seniors and Member of Parliament for Hamilton West - Ancaster - Dundas, on behalf of Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, announced a major investment of $5.5 million for a project that will increase capacity at the Port of Hamilton, and move Canadian goods to international markets more efficiently.
