The Australian Royal Navy has deployed its Laser Airborne Depth Sounder (LADS) Flight to Invercargill in New Zealand, to undertake survey operations over Macquarie Island, a 34km long World Heritage listed island that lies approximately halfway between Australia and Antarctica. 

The Australian Royal Navy published images of its Collin's-class submarines that sailed off the coast of Western Australia. The submarines are of a great importance to the Australian Navy as they reflect its naval capability and strong position.

Indonesian Navy divers have found a cockpit voice recorder from the Lion Air plane that crashed into the sea off Jakarta on October 29, 2018. After the accident, an underwater search was conducted, involving 30 divers. The divers found the recorder under 26 feet of mud, in approximately 100 feet of water by using a 'ping locator'.

Twelve Indians were rescued from a sinking vessel in the Persian Gulf by a French Navy ship on November 20. The aircraft unit of the frigate, a Panther helicopter, performed rescue hoist maneuvers and rescue the seafarers from the capsized vessel. The vessel had capsized minutes ago, forcing its Indian crew to cling to the overturned hull.
