Gazprom finds two new gas fields on Yamal shelf

The Russian Federal Agency for Mineral Resources approved the expert opinions of the State Reserves Commission regarding the discovery by Gazprom of new hydrocarbon fields on the shelf of the Yamal Peninsula, namely the Dinkov and Nyarmeyskoye fields. Gazprom secured the subsurface use licenses for the Rusanovsky and Nyarmeysky licensed blocks in 2013.

Global LNG imports increase in 2018 compared to 2017

According to the International Gas Union's Wholesale Gas Price Survey, dramatic changes have taken place in the natural gas wholesale price formation during a period of major developments in the global gas market. The share of spot LNG imports reached just over 30% of total LNG imports in 2018, amounting to about 126 BCM, which is an increase of 65 BCM since 2016, or 10.5%.

23 North Sea platforms to receive dangerous gas detection equipment

Dräger Marine & Offshore will provide equipment that detects dangerous gases to 23 platforms across the North Sea, as part of three new contracts, that are worth over $1.3 million (£1,000,000). The deals regard the provision of portable gas detection equipment to three operators over five years, including over 1,700 personal gas monitors to warn personnel of possible dangers.
