A Russian cargo ship sank in the Mediterranean Sea, between Spain and Algeria after an explosion in its engine room, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
An engine room explosion was reported aboard the Russian cargo ship called Ursa Major in the Mediterranean Sea between Spain and Algeria.
Two crew members from the Ursa Major are still missing, while the other 14 have been rescued and brought to Spain, the ministry confirmed on 24 December.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has yet to confirm the cause of the engine room explosion.
