The French port of Le Havre issued a tender to begin reinforcement works on the Hermann du Pasquier quay, in line with its offshore wind reception, including a roll on/roll off (RoRo) platform, as well as the execution studies.
Specifically, the contract lasts for one year and five months, whereas the deadline for issuing the applications for the tender is January 30, 2020, by 5:00 p.m. local time.
The reinforcement project will include the platform of 75m long and 25m wide, consisting of several rows of metal piles, a network of reinforced concrete beams and a slab also made of reinforced concrete.
In addition, the project will also install a classic quay equipment, bollards and fenders, whereas the tender states the potential that a roadway should be built at the rear of the platform.

It is highlighted that the project will be built with high environmental protection and control, while specific measures must be implemented and monitored by the company throughout the site.
The Port of Le Havre also opened a tender for reinforcement works on the Joannes quay that will include two quay developments of 200m.
Overall, the port is experiencing a growth, as CMA CGM and DP World launched a joint initiative to expand their box facilities at the port of Le Havre in northern France, under the signed 34-year agreement, which enables the partners to operate at the port.
