ClassNK issues TEC- 0943 re Japanese Flag Ships
ClassNK has issued TEC-0943 regarding performance standard for navigation lights for Japanese flag ships.
The Japanese Government has informed ClassNK of the application for navigation lights the performance standards of which was adopted by MSC.253(83).
The navigation lights installed on or after 1 January 2014 should be in accordance with MSC.253(83) for the Japanese ships.
This requirement should be also applicable when they are exchanged.

“Installed” means “completion date of the survey for the said navigation equipment”.
