New RINA website points the way on certification
Genoa-based classification society RINA has launched a new website (www.leonardotest.com) which is designed to enhance access to its wide variety of certification services in the marine sector.
The new website is aimed at facilitating access to relevant data in a highly interactive environment, providing clear guidance about the steps to be followed for obtaining the required certification. The website is organised into five main sections covering:
– Product certification and manufacturers approval according to the RINA rules (or other recognised standards).
– Certification of equipment according to EU Directive 96/98/EC as amended (MED).
– Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certification according to EU Directive 89/686/EC as amended.
– Certification of engines according to MARPOL Annex VI.
– Certification of service suppliers in accordance with IACS Unified Requirement Z17, Procedural Requirement 34 and relevant RINA rules.
The website is available in English, Italian, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish and Korean language versions. Its navigation levels also provide access to documents and services which are already available on RINAs corporate website and their marine website.
