Following the multiple strikes taking place in French ports, MSC container shipping company announced it is implementing its contingency plans to re-route container ships away from the ports when necessary, Reuters reports.

The idea is to re-route its cargo to neighbouring European container ports.
Moreover, it is reported that the strikes have resulted to stoppages by tug-boat personnel and dock workers, seriously affecting the ports’ operations, like Le Havre and Marseille.
France’s port network acts as hub for the country’s commodities and consumer exports as well as imports.
