H2V Fos and the Port of Marseille Fos have announced a partnership for a large-scale renewable hydrogen production project.
H2V Fos and the port of Marseille Fos will establish an industrial facility for the production of green hydrogen with the aim of decarbonizing the activities of the industrial-port area of Fos.
This 600 MW facility will be developed in 6 tranches from 2026 to 2031.
Commissioned from 2026 and in stages until 2031, the site made up of 6 production units of 100 MW will ensure the production of 84,000 T/year of renewable hydrogen by water electrolysis.
The objective is to decarbonise the activities of the industrial port zone of Fos-sur-Mer and avoid 750,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year
Since 2016 H2V has been investing, developing and building large-scale renewable hydrogen production plants to decarbonize sectors with a particularly high CO2 impact, such as industry and heavy mobility.
