Seafares and customers now have free access to internet
Seafarers as well as ferry customers now have access to new port-wide free WiFi access to the internet at the Port of Dover’s Eastern Docks. So far Europe’s busiest international ferry port has already seen almost 4,000 WiFi accounts created.
Free WiFi would eventually be phased into every part of the port – including the cruise terminals and the marina later in 2013 – as part of the Dover port’s drive towards ‘becoming the best port in the world’ – chief executive of the Port of Dover, Mr Tim Waggot, stated
The port also welcomed feedback from all its new WiFi customers, including crew,on how well the free service was working for them, and suggestions on what further improvements could be made.
