Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that Florida’s ports are open and ready to meet holiday demand, amid ship bottlenecks and congestion.
Namely, during an event Wednesday at Jacksonville’s JAXPORT, Governor DeSantis noted that Florida’s seaports, including JAXPORT, Port Everglades, Port Tampa Bay and Port Panama City, are open and available to handle more cargo. JAXPORT will also offer incentives to any company that chooses to bring its business there.
While other U.S. ports are just now announcing around-the-clock operations, in Florida many of our ports are used to serving Florida farmers, families and businesses with 24 hour operations
said Governor Ron DeSantis.
He also added that Florida has capacity and incentive packages to help businesses who want to move there.
US are experiencing vast congestion, with the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach hitting another congestion milestone, as 100 ships are waiting at anchor or in drift zones.
