Dutch sustainable biofuel company GoodFuels Marine and dredging company Boskalis have successfully concluded extensive testing of UPM BioVerno wood-based renewable diesel, on a vessel working on the Dutch “Marker Wadden” nature restoration project, in the middle of the Markermeer lake.
The project of the first wood-based residue marine fuel in the world aims at a carbon neutral marine industry and a greener and more sustainable future for shipping.
The initiative is aligned with Port of Amsterdam’s commitment to helping and developing alternative fuels, showing that the marine sector can also be decarbonised.
