The fast ferry “Eldorado” collided with an unidentified object in Japan sea in the evening of March 31, while heading to Ulleundo island, Korea, from Dokdo at some 28 knots speed.
“Eldorado” had 403 passengers on board when it collided. Its hull sustained damages, and water ingress was reported in the engine room area.

Crewmembers managed to put under control the water ingress, and the ferry managed to reach Ulleungdo, with a reduced speed, escorted by Korean Patrol ship.
No injures were reported.
