South Korean shipbuilding company, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) announced that it has won an order to construct a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) and an LNG carrier.
The contract for the construction of the vessels was signed on 6th of December with a shipowner for Oceania, who is undisclosed.
However, according to news agency Yonhap, Maran Gas Maritime is behind the order, which includes a very large crude carrier (VLCC) as well.
The two vessels will worth a total of KRW 430.5 billion (USD 391.7 million).
The FSRU and the LNG carrier are set to be have been delivered by May of 2020.
