Traffic in the Bosphorus Strait was temporarily suspended due to the breakdown of a dry cargo vessel, according to the Turkish Coast Guard.
More specifically, the tugboats KURTARMA 8-9-10 and cutter KEGM-3 were deployed to help the dry cargo vessel, whose rudder was blocked in front of Uskudar as it was sailing to Russia.
The traffic via the strait was suspended temporarily.
The vessel was the Panama-flagged ‘Viva Eclipse’, whose rudder had been locked gradually drifted in the Bosphorus. Upon notified of the incident, efforts to rescue the vessel started.
