Wilhelmsen Ships Service and Yinson GreenTech have signed an agreement to build a charging infrastructure for the Hydromover, Singapore’s first fully electric cargo vessel.
According to Wilhelmsen Ships Service, this collaboration supports ongoing efforts to develop electrification solutions for harbour craft, aligning with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and Singapore Maritime Institute initiatives.
Hydromover is Singapore’s first fully-electric cargo vessel with swappable batteries and it can transport up to 25 tonnes.
The contract was signed by Jan Viggo Johansen and Henning Hagemann, with Yinson GreenTech’s Matthew Tseng, Gan Jia Hao, Loke Jie, and Daniel Ong, alongside representatives from WSS’s global operations team, headed by Frank Fodstad and Raimond Visser, MSc.
