Travel Leaders Group conducted a survey among 1,000 North American travel advisors, revealing that Scotland and the Netherlands moved up among the top five upcoming European destinations. As for the international cruise category, the Caribbean remained at the top spot, with Singapore increasing its popularity in the Asia/Southeast Asia category.
According to the survey, travel advisors are mostly booking trips of six to seven days, followed by eight to 10 days. Only 1.5% book trips of less than four days.

In addition, active and adventure trips are leading the survey results, followed by honeymoon and destination weddings, culinary and wine, reunions and wellness.
Currently, the top international non-cruise destinations are:
- Mexico
- Italy
- The Dominican Republic
- The Bahamas
- Jamaica
As for the international cruise category, the Caribbean remained at the top spot, followed by European river cruises and then Mediterranean cruises.
Moreover, the survey categorised its results by region. Specifically, in Europe the following are the most famous destinations:
- Iceland;
- Croatia;
- Scotland;
- Portugal;
- Netherlands.
In Central/South America the top destinations include:
- Peru;
- Panama;
- Ecuador-Galapagos Islands;
- Brazil;
- Argentina.
As for Asia/Southeast Asia, the survey indicated the following as popular destinations:
- Thailand;
- Vietnam;
- Maldives;
- Singapore;
- Philippines.
Lastly, when choosing the Pacific region, travelers mostly go to:
- Tahiti;
- Bora Bora;
- Fiji;
- Moorea;
- Cook Islands.
