Shell christened and took delivery of its newest LNG bunker barge, Energy Stockholm, with a capacity of 8,000 m³.
Dexter Belmar, General Manager and Head of Global Downstream LNG, Shell, announced on social media post the christening of Shell’s newest LNG bunker barge, the Energy Stockholm.
With a capacity of 8,000 m³, it is Europe’s largest inland LNG bunkering vessel.
Furthermore, on 16 November, Shell took delivery of the vessel at GATE Terminal in Rotterdam where it completed its first loading operation. The vessel has also been spotted doing an operation with “LNG London” in the Port of Rotterdam recently.
According to Belmar, the operation is perfectly timed to meet the expected rising demand in LNG bunkering, with the barge to serve Shell’s customers in Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam.
