A cargo ship, the Rise Shine, was reported to be stranded and broken into halves near the port of Nakhodka in Russia’s Primorye Territory.
According to local media sources, the 21-year-old vessel was en route from Ningbo in China to Port Vostochny when it ran aground off Pacific port Nakhodka on Tuesday morning.

As TASS Russian News Agency informed, the vessel is stranded and broken into halves.
The Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident involving a foreign vessel in the Sea of Japan, adding that there are no Russian nationals among 14 crew members of the ship.
Following the incident, emergencies Ministry’s Mi-8 helicopter successfully evacuated all crew members of the cargo ship as they were taken ashore.
“The rescue operation took place in severe weather conditions with wind gusts of up to 15 meters per second and waves up to three meters,”….the Emergencies Ministry’s spokesperson told TASS.
