Mouawad Jad

Jad Mouawad is the founder and CEO of Mouawad Consulting, an engineering and consultancy firm specializing in the field of Ballast Water Management. With over 120 employees and branches in Norway, China, Korea, Lebanon and Panama, Mouawad Consulting is considered one of the leading suppliers of services and products to the maritime industry. Jad Mouawad is a Naval Architect, graduated in 2005 from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has since had several positions in the maritime industry, first at the Norwegian Maritime Administration (NMA), before joining DNV where he started and developed their class services for Ballast Water Management. As a subsidiary to Mouawad Consulting, URSA was launched in 2019 to attend to the needs of the shipping industry for worldwide service and maintenance of various equipment, primarily BWMS. URSA has now the possibility to attend ships in North and Central America, Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia, drawings from a large pool of resources of Mouawad Consulting and other partners.
