Alexandros’s involvement with the Maritime Industry was 30 years ago, when he first joined directly from the Maritime Academy of Aspropyrgos, Greece, on a Cape size Bulk carrier as a Deck Cadet, until reaching the position of Master Mariner on VLOC vessels (Very Large Ore Carriers) for more than 5 consecutive years.
A passionate maritime industry professional, with working experience in managerial positions in Singapore as DIRECTOR and MARINE OPERATIONS MANAGER for PANTHEON MARITIME SERVICES LTD.
He is currently based in Cyprus, where he joined the LMZ SHIPPING SA CY, Limassol and proudly participates in the development of the organisation as MARINE, SAFETY & QUALITY MANAGER and VETTING MANAGER,DPA/CSO.
For the last 3years, he joined the initiative of Shipping Deputy Ministry to promote the maritime profession and its derivatives to the youth of Cyprus.
Taking advantage of his studies in Singapore (PgDip in MARITIME BUSINESS MANAGEMENT) and in Cyprus (MBA in HR Management in collaboration with Cardiff Met Uni in England) he successfully combines effective work conduct and performance with strategic planning, giving emphasis to the human element and skills development.
He firmly believes in work ethic practices such as transparency, fairness, adequate effort, commitment, teamwork, motivation, leadership and recognition of achievements as tools to enhance productivity, performance and retention of the workforce.
