Astrid Seltmann is a distinguished analyst and actuary, currently serving as a pivotal figure at the Nordic Association of Marine Insurers (Cefor). In her role, she oversees Cefor's analytics and statistics output, with a specific focus on managing the Nordic Marine Insurance Statistics (NoMIS) database and conducting in-depth hull casualty trend analyses, which can be explored at https://cefor.no/statistics/. Astrid also holds the position of Secretary at the Cefor Statistics Forum, where she contributes to shaping statistical discussions within the organization. Astrid brings a wealth of experience to her current role, having previously worked as the first non-life actuary at Agrippina Reinsurance (Zurich Reinsurance) in Cologne, Germany, from 1993 to 1997, and later as a business analyst at Computer Sciences International in Norway from 1997 to 1999. She has also held leadership roles in the Norwegian Society of Actuaries, including serving as a board member from 2010 to 2013 and chairing the Non-life Committee from 2015 to 2018. Astrid graduated in 1992 from the University of Cologne with a degree in 'Diplom-Mathematiker' and has pursued various courses in actuarial science, statistics, programming, and reinsurance/marine insurance throughout her career.
