Ltd received the SAFETY4SEA Tanker Operator Award, sponsored by ABS, for providing safe and reliable transportation of oil by sea, through a modern fleet, with top priorities set on achieving excellence over safety, quality and environmental protection. Company’s dedicated human capital efforts have resulted to the achievement of top industry quality indicators. Other short-listed nominees for this category were: Executive Ship Management Pte Ltd, Fleet Management Ltd., Stealth Maritime Corporation SA and Stolt Tankers.

Arcadia Shipmanagement Co. Ltd was established in Athens in 1998. At present, Arcadia’s fleet consists of 8 Aframax and 7 Suezmax tankers. Arcadia today successfully manages one of the lowest average age fleets worldwide. The company believes that safe and modern tankers will play a vital role in the coming years in sea oil transportation. Arcadia is a member of INTERTANKO and HELMEPA and has obtained many certifications for meeting the requirements of quality shipping. Arcadia has certified all fleet vessels with Green Award. Also, all of its vessels meet USCG’s QUALSHIP 21 criteria. Arcadia’s dedicated efforts to increase the safety onboard have resulted in top rated Vetting and PSC results. By encouraging consistency and sustainability, for the last 20 years Arcadia continually develops and protects its workplace and ethic culture. Arcadia offers continuous training and education for strengthening its management and ships’ staff. SAFETY4SEA Awards are held annually within the scope of awarding industry’s outstanding practices for Excellence, Sustainability, Training, Technology, Initiative and Leadership. Other winners of the 2018 SAFETY4SEA Awards are: Norbulk Shipping UK Ltd for the Dry Bulk Operator Award, Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) for the Sustainability Award, CSMART Training Center for the Training Award, Inmarsat for the Technology Award, UK P&I Club for the Initiative Award and Capt. Panagiotis Tsakos for the Leadership Award.
