Starting from 29 November 2021, Israel has banned crew changes for all ships in all Israeli ports for two weeks.
Due to Covid-19 variant Omicron concerns, the Israel Chamber of Shipping has issued a memorandum stating that crew changes operations for all vessels in all Israeli ports are prohibited.
As informed, the decision has been made to prohibit foreign staff replacements. After two weeks a further decision will be taken whether to continue with the ban or allow crew changes.
Speaking of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, the US has also made several significant changes to rules affecting travel into the country. What is more, Philippines from its side, set new testing and quarantine protocols in an effort to control the variant’s spread.
