The Wison Offshore & Marine started its procedures for the Novatek Arctic LNG 2 project. Specifically, the company announced that the project’s manufacturing started on 29 November, at the Zhoushan yard in China. For the records, in the past the Technip France S.A. has awarded Wison for its module fabrication.
The Arctic LNG 2 includes the establishment of three LNG trains at 6.6 million tons per train, per year.Through the project, the company has taken control of the engineering, procurement, production and commissioning of modules in train one with a total amount of weight of 48,000 mt.

Moreover, the project is located in the Gydan peninsula in West Siberia, Russia and involves the following participants : Total (10 percent), CNPC (10 percent), CNOOC Limited (10 percent) and the Japan Arctic LNG, consortium of Mitsui & Co and JOGMEC (10 percent) and the operator of the project Novatek (60 percent).

It is woth-mentioned that through the continuous support of Novatek, TechnipFMC, Wilson reached its first steel cutting milestone ahead of schedule, which means that it may saved a lot of time and lowed the costs of the project’s implementation.
As a participant in the Arctic LNG 2 project, Wison relies on its module fabrication experience and 1.5 million square meter yard resources, is capable to provide cost-effective solutions for mega-module projects.
