Artie is a seven-armed, virtual octopus assistant. He’s inspiring a global dialogue on AI and the health of the ocean. He was created by IBM and Chatbotbay engineers using Watson Assistant technology and is now a ‘stowaway’ on the Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS), an AI and solar powered research vessel.
Artie’s only companion is the ship’s AI Captain who’s a stickler for rules and a nightmare to live with. Artie needs lots of human interaction.
