As today is the International Day for Women in Maritime, Maersk’s Chief Infrastructure Officer, Rabab Boulos, met with 2nd Officer Christina Andersson onboard Madrid Maersk to discuss being equal at sea.
According to the company, at Maersk, working towards a more gender balanced fleet is an important priority. At the same time, the company highlights that they are continuously working to create a psychologically safe and inclusive working environment – at sea as well as onshore.

As Maersk mentions on its website, ‘Equal at Sea’ aims to build an inclusive shipping industry. To do so, they bring together policymakers and industry experts to create more opportunities for women to thrive in seafaring careers.
