Dennis Khoo, MPA’s Director of Maritime Systems and Technology, have been working with telco such as M1 to provide good network connectivity at sea and other partners to enable maritime applications.
Maritime 5G is to provide good network connectivity out at sea in out major anchorages, fairways, terminals and boarding grounds.

According to the video, one of the very first users of Maritime 5G is Fullerton Health. Since July 2023, seafarers have accessed this service at sea.
