According to UKMTO, on 27th June, a merchant ship reported being struck by a projectile in the Red Sea near the Yemeni coastline.
As explained, no injuries or damage were reported in the incident, which took place 84 nautical miles west of Yemen’s Hodeidah port.
The UKMTO stated that the vessel and its crew were reported safe and that the ship was continuing to its next port of call.
The nature of the attack is reported as a waterborne improvised explosive device.

Furthermore, on 28th June, UKMTO received a report of an incident 150NM north west of Al Hudaydah, Yemen. As informed, vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.
