The Singapore branch of The Nautical Institute is set to host its annual conference on 1 September 2022 in the Lion City.
The conference is back after it was put on hold due to the pandemic and is ready to host close to 200 shipping professionals from the maritime industry at the Suntec City Convention Centre.
Guest of Honour, Ms. Quah Ley Hoon, Chief Executive of Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), will be gracing the event and delivering a speech. The conference will kick start with a keynote address by Capt André L. LeGoubin MNM MA FNI, President of The Nautical Institute and Mark Cameron, Chief Operating Officer, Ardmore Shipping Corporation.
The theme for this year, “Navigating Through the Digital Age: Towards a Green Future” aims to discuss current navigational practices used onboard modern ships and the challenges that will be faced in the future as technology develops.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a full-day conference with four educational panels comprising distinguished speakers and industry leaders. The panellists will touch on aspects such as developing technology, high speed digital communication systems, green shipping, and autonomous bridge systems.
