The USS Gerald R. Ford carrier is equipped with electromagnetic elevators which are so complex that in order to operate them, teams have to pass vigorous written and oral vigorous exams, before being allowed to run them.

US' Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) has collaborated with military shipbuilding company Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) to create laser scans of vessels and develop virtual training simulations for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) workforce.

As the video presents, the US Navy's aircraft carrier, John F. Kennedy, saw the installation of its final piece, conducted by Huntington Ingalls Industries. The upper bow part that is to be added on the vessel is one of the last steel structural units, also known as superlift, which weighs 780 tonnes and was being built for 18 months. 

Ocean Explorer Tim Taylor and his team 'Lost 52 Expedition Team' discovered, after about 75 years, the final resting place of the 49 sailors of the US Submarine S-28 (SS-133) off Oahu, Hawaii. The U.S. Navy recently validated the identity of the wreck, which Taylor located in 2017.

The hospital ship USNS Comfort arrived in Manta, Ecuador for the first mission stop of the 2019 deployment, on June 26. While in Manta, US service members and medical professionals will cooperate with partners and host nation medical professionals to provide necessary medical assistance in communities with health care needs.

The US will send a hospital ship to assist in the refugee crisis resulting from instability in Venezuela. Namely, at the annual Washington Conference on the Americas at the State Department, Vice President Mike Pence announced the Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort will deploy to the US Southern Command area of operations next month.
