Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) is to sign a contract with the private sector for construction of the country's largest mineral mechanized terminal in Shahid Rajaee port, in the south part of the country. This is expected to be the largest mineral terminal in the Persian Gulf.

Sri Lanka's government information department announced that as part of this mega development project, the Port of Colombo will continue to develop its facilities for container handling by continuously adding capacity, enhancing handling and processing technology.

An agreement filed at the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) allowing a joint venture between two adjacent terminals at the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico, applies from August 29. As the Port of Rotterdam informs, after the first six tanks arrived at the end of July, the expansion of Vopak Botlek is well underway. With this project, 63,000 cubic metres of storage capacity must have been added to the arsenal by the second half of 2020. The expansion is being built 'fit-for-purpose’ for the storage of styrene.

The Suez Canal Container Terminal, located at the mouth of the Suez Canal in Egypt, announced its plans to open its reefer container inspection and repair hub to all brands. The terminal will also launch a dry container inspection and repair hub in October 2019.
