Enterprise ships first ethylene cargo from Morgan’s Point Terminal

The first cargo of ethylene has been exported from the 50-50 joint venture marine terminal, at Morgan’s Point, Texas along the Houston Ship Channel, owned by Enterprise Products Partners L.P. and Navigator Holdings Ltd. In fact, it was recently when the Navigator Europa departed the facility carrying 25 million pounds of ethylene for Marubeni Corporation, a Japanese trading company, and long-term terminal customer.

Port of Galveston and RCL for cruise’s terminal construction

One of the busiest ports in North America, the Port of Galveston along with Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL) have inked a long-term agreement for the construction of a new $100 million cruise terminal. As the companies announced, RCL will be responsible for the terminal's build while once completed it will be leased to the port for a 20-year initial term and with four 10-year options.

Moin Terminal receives Costa Rica’s largest containership

APM Terminals Moín welcomed the MSC Sara Elena, the largest container ship to ever berth in Costa Rica, measuring 300m long with a capacity of 8,000 TEUs, in November. The vessel was in port for just under nine hours, including the obligatory first call celebrations. Exports of key Costa Rican exports, such as pineapples and bananas, were loaded onto the Sara Elena which sailed for Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Latin American terminals join TradeLens

More than 50 ports and terminals in Latin America, as Terminal Zárate in Argentina, Terminal Puerto Rosario in Argentina, Terminal de Buenaventura in Colombia, Port of Santos in Brasil, Terminal Pacífico Sur Valparaíso in Chile and San Vicente International Terminal in Chile, are currently working with the blockchain-based digital platform developed by IBM and Maersk, TradeLens.
