On 26th August, a second container ship sailed through a temporary Black Sea corridor established by Ukraine’s government, after Russia halted a wartime agreement aimed at ensuring safe grain exports from the invaded country’s ports.

The Hong Kong-flagged, 9,400 TEU container ship Joseph Schulte, left Odessa port on Wednesday after being stranded at Odessa port for 18 months due to the ongoing war.

A shipload of Spanish cattle, which had been stranded for months due to concerns over the bovine bluetongue disease docked in Spain on Thursday, according to the region's government. However,the fate of the animals still remains unclear.

The bulk carrier, Centennial Harmony, that was stranded 250 nautical miles southeast of St. John's, is now safe after battling power outages and flooding on November 15. The Centennial Harmony put out a distress call due to taking on water, but gained control of the flooding by the evening hours.

US Coast Guard crews rescued six boaters on Sunday, October 7, after their vessel became disabled 38-miles east of Savannah. Boaters on the vessel had activated their personal locating beacon to contact the US Coast Guard. There are no reported injuries and all boaters had life jackets.

A 250-foot Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship, Alta, with 10 people onboard, became disabled while transiting from Greece to Haiti, and was unable to make repairs. The crew reported that they had enough food for two days and water for 15 days, and that there were no injuries or immediate medical concerns.

After colliding with an underwater obstruction in the Mississippi river, a down-bound fully laden bulk carrier suffered a flooded forepeak tank and could not trim to a shallow enough draft to continue her transit. A repair team helped the vessel continue its transit down the river and across the Atlantic to offload cargo.
