Stena Line is now accelerating the transition towards fossil-free shipping and presents its plan to reduce total CO2 emissions by as much as 30% until 2030.

Volvo Group, Scania, Stena Line, and the Port of Gothenburg joined forces in order to enhance the transition to fossil-free fuels in the transport sector and cut emissions by 70%  until 2030.

In an effort to boost the transition to fossil-free fuels in the transport sector, the company Stena Line plans to start operating two fossil-free battery powered vessels on the route between Gothenburg and Frederikshavn in Denmark no later than 2030.
