The Standard P&I Club informs that the port of Ras Isa is currently closed and ships will not be permitted to call at a Yemeni port if the last port of call was in Israel, in accordance with the Arab League Boycott.

The standard P&I Club has issued an advisory on the carriage of wood pulp.Wood pulp is a wood fibre which has been reduced chemically or mechanically to pulp. It is used in the manufacture of paper. The product has a high moisture content and can be susceptible to damage if not carried correctly.

The IMSBC Code is now under its fourth revision process referring to amendments 04-17, expected to be finalised in 2017.
