KR launches hull structure analysis software in accordance with CSR-H

SeaTrustHullScan apply to all amendments re ship design The Korean Register (KR) - an IACS member classification society - announces the release of SeaTrust-HullScan, its ground-breaking software solution to analyze and appraise a vessel's hull structure in accordance with the new harmonized common structural rules (CSR-H).SeaTrust-HullScan is a brand new ship design support program that enables ship designers and ship builders to accurately apply IACS CSR-H and all subsequent amendments when designing and constructing a vessel. The software optimizes a ship's design structure by implementing an accurate calculation according to the new rules and generating results that are as close as possible to the target standards set by the user.Automatic modeling in fine mesh analysis and fatigue strength assessment offers enhanced modeling speeds and improved design. Rule loading, corrosion additions and boundary conditions are three basic elements for carrying out direct strength assessments and these are automatically generated. Automation of the entire process leads to a faster integration of the buckling assessment which dramatically saves time and resources.SeaTrust-HullScan was developed in-house and has been rigorously verified with the major Korean shipyards from joint industry projects. It has already won support from the industry for its outstanding user friendliness. The new software ...
