ReCAAP issues alert regarding tanker boarded and robbed in the Singapore Strait

The crew was not injured The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre issued an Incident Alert stating that robbers boarded a petroleum product tanker underway at night in the Singapore Strait approximately seven nm northeast of Horsburgh Lighthouse.They departed the tanker after stealing some shipboard equipment and crew's personal belongings. Six robbers boarded the tanker near Horsburgh Lighthouse ReCAAP issued Incident Alert for robbery on Dong Jiang Tanker.On 30 May 11 at or about 0129 hrs, a Singapore-registered tanker Dong Jiang was underway at approximately 30 nm east of Horsburgh Lighthouse (01 19.30' N, 104 54.50' E) when six robbers boarded the vessel.The robbers stole cash and other valuables before they escaped. ReCAAP issued Incident Alert

A barge was boarded by robbers from a sampan The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre issued an Incident Alert stating that, at about 0105 hours on 15 May, while being towed through the Singapore TSS, a barge was boarded by robbers from a sampan. When the robbers were observed by the crew of the tug, the master turned on the tugs lights and increased to full operating speed. The robbers left after about 40 minutes, taking various ropes. Robbers steal items from passing barge

Various items had been stolen The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre issued an incident alert stating that a barge was being towed in the eastbound TSS south of Changi when a passing patrol boat of the Singapore Police Coast Guard (PCG) sighted a sampan alongside the barge.Four or five men were then seen leaving the barge onto two sampans and moving south.
