Following the launching ceremony of TurkStream gas pipeline several days ago, the Russian company Gazprom informed that successfully supplied its first billion cubic meters of gas through the pipeline. For the records, TurkStream links the gas transmission systems of Russia and Turkey.
The U.S Coast Guard along with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography collaborated and launched the Blue Technology Center of Expertise (COE), which will focus on the research and the use of the blue technology. The entire pipeline system for Gazprom’s TurkStream project in the Black Sea has been completed following connections between TurkStream offshore section and landfalls. TurkStream is a project for a gas pipeline stretching across the Black Sea from Russia to Turkey and further to Turkey’s border with neighboring countries.
The American Petroleum Institute released the third edition of API Recommended Practice 1160 (RP 1160), ‘Managing System Integrity for Hazardous Liquid Pipelines,’ on February 27. Magellan Midstream Partners LP is discussing with companies that develop crude transportation assets in Freeport, Texas, as it plans to build a US crude export terminal instead of its previously scheduled spot off Corpus Christi. Despite Corpus Christi construction, the pipeline operator considers all of its options, including an offshore terminal off Freeport, closer to its crude storage and terminal assets in Houston, according to Mark Roles, senior vice president at Magellan.

Peruvian liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Pampa Melchorita cargo count decreased year on year. According to data from Perupetro, the LNG facility shipped an overall of 56 cargoes during 2018, experiencing a decrease in comparison to the 65 cargoes in 2017.
Half of the offshore section for the TurkStream Offshore Gas Pipeline has been installed. Namely, over 930 kilometer of pipeline has been laid in total on the seabed of the Black Sea, divided over two strings. Pioneering Spirit, the vessel conducting deep-water sections of the pipeline, passed kilometer point 706 for the first line.
