Piracy is a serious concern in the Gulf of Guinea along the southern coast of Western Africa and the United States is working with Beninese officials to increase their capacity to combat international piracy within their territorial waters there, US Army informed.

ReCAAP ISC informed that one incident of armed robbery against ships in Asia (CAT 2) was reported from 13-19 December 2022.

Two incidents of armed robbery against ships in Asia, comprising one CAT 31 incident and one CAT 42 incident, were reported to ReCAAP ISC, from 6-12 December 2022.
