PETRONAS has announced that its first floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, PFLNG SATU, has successfully produced its first drop of LNG from the Kanowit gas field, offshore Sarawak on 5 December 2016.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, U.S. pipeline exports of natural gas continued to grow in 2016, and they have doubled since 2009.
